If it’s not the iconic Bulls color scheme that has sneakerheads buzzing over the latest Air Jordan drop, it’s probably the fact that this is the shoe His Airness wore to win the 1993 Championship for a three-peat. It’s the third colorway of this shoe we’ve seen on 2013. I just brought you a closer look of the non-OG, “Phoenix Suns” colorway last week, and here’s a closer look at probably the most anticipated of the three Retro 8 editions this year, “Playoffs”.
Shoe: Air Jordan 8 (Retro) “Playoffs”
Release: 6/29/2013 (Available Now)
Product Code: 305381-093
Colorway: Black/True Red-White
This release is just what OG fans were expecting from a pair that hadn’t dropped since 2007. The quality seems to hold up, and there are very few changes Nike made to what was already a classic. Amongst the three 8’s we’ve seen so far (Bugs, Suns & Playoffs) I have to say that the last release of the Suns colorway is my pick out of the three. Nonetheless, these were a must-cop for Air Jordan fans. Here’s to hoping we’ll see another Retro 8 drop, in “Aqua” form by year’s end.
